The graduating eighth grade students at Dade Middle School for 2009 recently received news that they had scored as the top school (system) on the current year's Georgia Eighth Grade Writing Assessment. DMS scored at the 95% level ahead of Chickamauga City (94%), Oconee County (93%), and Forsyth County (91.2%). The students from DMS ranked tops in 3 of the 4 categories that the assessment is graded on (Ideas, Organization, and Style) and came in 3rd in the state in the fourth category (Conventions). Congratulations to the students and teachers at Dade Middle School on this fantastic achievement!
